Glenapp Castle – Relais & Chateax

The perfect example of a Scottish Baronial castle set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Glenapp’s turrets and towers shelter a timeless world of oak panelled rooms, rich fabrics and fine antiques, coupled with the modern luxuries of fine cuisine. Ayrshire is one of the most beautiful regions of Scotland and Glenapp Castle epitomises the ability for Scotland to blow away the cobwebs and rejuvenate.

The Personal Touch

Built in 1870, the castle went on to house many affluent Scottish families until it gradually went to ruin many years later. In 1993, the current owners bought the castle and went on to spend 6 years lovingly restoring the castle and turning it into a luxury hotel. The castle is home to 17 individually decorate bedrooms, with all of the luxuries you will need to enjoy a break away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The bedrooms enjoy spectacular views across the Irish Sea to the island of Arran and the giant granite rock of Ailsa Craig. The castle also boasts 36 acres of beautiful gardens, where guests can take time out to recharge their batteries whilst admiring the wonderful flora and fauna on offer. The hotel has a concierge service, where you can enjoy everything from beauty treatments to a personal chauffeur.
