Visit Shakespeare’s England

Come with us on a journey to discover some of the gems that await you in Shakespeare’s England.
First up is Stratford-upon-Avon a market town in Warwickshire and the birthplace of William Shakespeare. About one mile west in the village of Shottery is Anne Hathaway’s cottage, the farmhouse where William Shakespeare’s wife – Anne Hathaway grew up.
If you enjoy the works of Shakespeare then there is no better place to enjoy one of his plays than at the Royal Shakespeare Company based in Stratford-Upon-Avon. You can even enjoy one of Shakespeare’s productions at Warwick Castle along with many other great activities for all of the family. Another great castle in the area is Kenilworth castle – celebrations at which are said to have been the inspiration for Shakespeare’s a midsummer nights dream. A trip to Warwickshire would not be complete without a visit to Coughton court, a beautiful grade I listed Tudor house. Ragley Hall and Lord Leycester hospital are other must places to visit whilst in the area.
Royal Leamington Spa is a great cultural place to visit whilst in the area and the Pump rooms offer plenty to see and do for all ages.
Finally St Mary’s in Warwick offers visitors a truly splendid day of discovery from the Beauchamp Chapel to the many effigies and tombs in the church gounds.
