Chatsworth House
In their Life Stories exhibition, they are revealing the stories of people associated with Chatsworth through paired portraits and objects.
They will also welcome the 500 year-old Devonshire Hunting Tapestries, which depict life in the 15th century, back to Chatsworth in partnership with the V&A.
They are looking forward to you exploring the house from 18 May.
Chatsworth, home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, has evolved through the centuries to reflect the tastes, passions and interests of 16 generations of the Cavendish family. There are over 30 rooms to explore in the house, which today contains works of art that span 4000 years. The 105-acre garden has evolved over more than 450 years, and continues to change today. The farmyard has been a favourite day out for children of all ages since 1973, and the 1000-acre park on the banks of the river Derwent was chiefly designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown in the 1760s.
